Research
Labex EFL is based on a complementary and multidisciplinary approach to linguistics, and seeks to overcome the usual compartmentalization of its disciplines. Research teams dedicated to sharing data and research methods allow for an unparalleled scope to the work carried out. This opens up new perspectives in the understanding of a variety of language-related issues.
Training
The Labex EFL training program is a strong and central component of its excellence-oriented identity. It is intended primarily for Master’s students and PhD students, but also supports linguistic researchers at USPC in acquiring state of the art competences. From seminars to thematic schools, through courses or conferences given by high-level international researchers, the Labex EFL offers a wide range of training activities.
International network
The Labex EFL is a part of a strong international network. It maintains direct links with prestigious and multidisciplinary institutions around the world, such as CSLI Stanford and MIT (USA), the Max Planck Institute Nijmegen (Germany), or the SOAS (England). Our strong international perspective is strengthened by numerous ingoing and outgoing mobility grants for PhD students, as well as frequent lectures by visiting professors via the International Labex Chair.
